I recently asked my adult students, “What’s your favorite fall food?” And a lot of them said Mont Blanc (モンブラン). Mont Blanc is actually French. Mont means mountain and blanc means white. The dish resembles a snow-capped mountain. The state that I come from, Vermont is also a French word. Ver is French for green and again, mont means mountain. Vermont is the green mountain state, and that’s why our English school is called Green Mountain!
