Over the weekend I went to Tachibana where an antique market was held. There were quite a few people there milling about and pondering vintage items for their home or wardrobe. It was fun for me because I saw many old school American toys there. Everything from Care Bears, Mickey Mouse, Teenage Mutant Turtles to McDonal’s Happy Meal toys. It was a colorful sight to see and brought back some childhood memories. I had a short interaction with one seller. He wanted ¥500 for a bendy Santa figure, and I said, come on, these are like $1 in the states. I said I’ll give you ¥300 and he agreed. So I came away with a Bendy Santa and that made my day.
