When I first heard “ノートパソコン” it made sense. ノートmeans notebook and パソコンmeans personal computer. But, we don’t say this in English. We say “laptop” instead. When sitting, you rest the computer on top of your knees or lap as you use it, therefore we call it a laptop computer! Do you use a laptop?
